It feels like the kind of stories my granny shared. One piece at a time though. Loads to think about😁

Aunty Zah writes in a gentle, whimsical way that harks back to yesteryear, a time of femininity and gentleness. However, Aunty Zah’s recollections also show the resilience and strength beneath that feminine exterior. The lessons learnt from her reminiscences are still pertinent today as they were then. I recommend this book for anyone who wants a glimpse of a life well-lived.

What a beautiful story of a life well lived, MashaAllah! Pieces of Aunty Z remind me of my mum and both grandmother’s. Then, there are parts of Reflections that remind me of my own childhood. Absolutely loved savouring this gem of a book!

Yes, what I realised is that *most* biographies focus on some ‘hyped-up invention’ or worldly achievement the person contributed to society. This world has become so superficial—getting worse by the day with all this technology and the endless rat race you mentioned when speaking about living authentically. I just want to spend time with you, quietly… just to *be* and talk. Alhamdulillah, duas are already on the way this morning. So happy for you. Allah has His plans. Aameen. Truly, this is a book about ordinary lives and extraordinary beings.

I really enjoyed your book — especially because I could relate to so many of your reflections. It was honest and heart-warming… simple, yet deeply profound. Subhanallah.
