Here’s a book that dares to break some norms in publishing. When you begin reading and you look for chapter two, you scoff at the authors audacity to write a chapterless book. I mean who does that, right? Lead in lady did it and beautifully. This true story (although it doesn’t say so) is a gripping, engaging story that had me say “whaaaat?” aloud more than once. The realisic characters behave audaciously unreal and I had to put the book down more than once to catch my breath. Heres a story that highlights several themes that are still relevant round table discussion topics- neglected first wives in favour of seconds, greed, cultural and class discrimination, parental neglect, girl child discrimination, and I could start a whole book here – but luckily our blue eyed magical girl wraps it all up for us in a special book that is all about catching butterfiles to keep hope alive.
