Who we are

AMWASA — the Association of Muslim Women Authors in South Africa — is a collective committed to nurturing a vibrant, values-driven literary community. We champion the voices of Muslim women, providing them with the tools, network, and encouragement to write, publish, and thrive with confidence and purpose.

What we do

We support authors through workshops, editorial services, and the AMWASA Authors Collective, while guiding readers towards wholesome, Shariah-compliant literature through our carefully curated booklists and the AMWASA Stamp of Approval. We also facilitate the distribution of selected titles to independent bookstores and libraries, ensuring access to clean, authentic Muslim stories.
