AMWASA hosts a monthly review day (strictly for female authors – published or aspiring)

• on the second Saturday each month
• from 09:30 to 10:30 (CAT | GMT+2) – see agenda below
• on Microsoft Teams
• for just R250 (USD 20 | Euro 20) per year (12 sessions)

What are Monthly Review Days?

A monthly review day is a friendly online gathering for female authors for monthly planning, goal setting, check-ins, good habit formation, a quiet workspace, accountability and discussion. It is ideal for the author who needs to get things done, for those who appreciate collaboration, for the procrastinating author, and the one who finds value in accountability.

Who can sign up?

Monthly review days are reserved for female authors, whether published or aspiring.

How it works

• 09:20 – A meeting link will be active from 9:20am for chit-chat and pre-discussion. Feel free to join a few minutes early if you have a pressing question or just to introduce yourself or say Hi.
• 09:30 – The main meeting officially begins. Check in. We’ll each set our own goals (whether it is to reach a wordcount, or to do something we’ve been putting off for a while, e.g. marketing promotions, or social media posts, or a blog post… Anything author-related!)
• 09:40 – Quiet time begins. Mics muted. We will work individually for 40 minutes.
• 10:20 – (Rejoin with same meeting link) We’ll come together and discuss what we’ve worked on (share as little or as much as you are comfortable with). We’ll set a goal for our next session.
• 10:30 – Meeting officially ends, but you may stick around till 11:00 for Q&A, or a mini-lesson.

While we trust that all participants will respect the privacy of other participants, it is in our best interests to join the meeting in attire that is respectful, donning our hijabs, niqabs or burkahs.

2. International participants, may pay via PayFast, choosing their preferred currency at the PayFast checkout.
3. Once payment is made, you will receive a confirmation email and a free printable Accountability Tracker.
4. Then, sit back and relax because the monthly invitation link will be sent to your inbox an hour before the next meeting, in sha Allah.

Ts & Cs

Missed sessions – In the interests of accountability and fairness, unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for missed sessions, nor can missed sessions be made up later.

Refunds – If you need to permanently sign out of these meetings (for example, if you’re no longer available on a Saturday morning), please let me know and I will endeavour to issue a pro-rata refund within 7 working days.
