Step Into the Spotlight at the Durban International Book Fair 2025 with AMWASA!
The Durban International Book Fair is calling — and AMWASA is answering with an even stronger presence this year, in sha Allah! After a successful first experience in 2024, we’re thrilled to return to the 4th annual DIBF which is held in South Africa’s first UNESCO City of Literature and we’re inviting Muslim women authors, publishers and booksellers to join us!
📍 Eduvos Umhlanga | Thursday 14 August – Monday 18 August 2025
Last year, AMWASA’s presence at DIBF put us firmly on the map. Our authors’ books were presented to libraries, agents and readers, we networked with industry professionals, and built meaningful relationships with fellow booksellers. Our stage session gave our authors the chance to shine, and best of all — they kept 100% of their book sales!
This year, we’re levelling up! We’ve secured a full exhibition stand and are excited to offer two ways for you to participate:

FAQs
Is the book fair worth it?
Book fairs are a wonderful way (as either a visitor or an exhibitor) to make friendships, connections and build community with other authors and readers. Book fairs are great to visit BEFORE you even launch your first book, to see how other authors promote theirs and just to support the writing community.
What do people do at a book fair?
A book fair is a coming-together at which authors, readers, and booksellers have the opportunity to meet in a space where literature takes center stage: books are signed, talks are given, news is promoted… and occasionally business is done.
