Celebrating AMWASA’s Mission: An Interview with Channel Islam International
We are thrilled to share the exciting news that AMWASA recently had the opportunity to be featured on Channel Islam International. In this interview, we discussed the mission and goals of AMWASA, the unique challenges faced by Muslim women authors, and our efforts to promote diversity in the literary world.
The AMWASA Vision
At AMWASA, our primary aim is to create a supportive and inclusive space for Muslim women writers. By building a vibrant community, we hope to connect authors and amplify their voices, addressing the challenges they face and breaking down barriers in the literary industry. Our goal is not only to support authors but also to ensure that readers have access to literature that is free from questionable content, and that portrays Islam in a positive light.
Our Stamp of Approval
A significant highlight of our interview was the AMWASA Stamp of Approval. This stamp serves as a guarantee for readers that a book has been carefully reviewed by qualified ladies, ensuring that the content is suitable for practising Muslims. It signifies that the book is free from foul language or explicit intimacy, and promotes positive Islamic values. For authors, having their book awarded the AMWASA Stamp of Approval means it will be listed on our website, advertised on our social media, and promoted to independent bookshops, offering increased visibility and credibility.
