Zaynab Khan is a Durban-based South African author, teacher, poet, Palestine solidarity activist, and member of the National Writers Association of South Africa (NWASA).
She believes in the power of storytelling as resistance and as a bridge to empathy. Her previous works include A Letter from Gaza to the World and its follow-up Letters from the Sky — both written to help young readers understand the human side of war and displacement.
In this anthology, Khan brings together voices from around the world to celebrate truth, justice, and shared humanity through the written word, returning the narrative of Palestine to its rightful voices.
Dr Lubna Nadvi is a prominent South African academic, political analyst, and human rights activist based in Durban. She is currently a senior lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).
Abdulla Abu Ghanem is a Palestinian surfer and creative professional from Gaza City, known as a member of Gaza’s pioneering surfing family.
Nathi Ngubane is a South African writer, illustrator, and political cartoonist known for his work in social justice and children’s literature. He was born in Durban and is currently based in Johannesburg.
Husam Nassar is an academic and researcher who has strong professional and scholarly ties to both the Middle East and the academic community.
Azad Essa is an award-winning South African journalist, author, and political analyst. He is currently a senior reporter for Middle East Eye and is known for his work on global social justice, race, and foreign policy.
